Fancy meeting up with your pals off the Twitter for a stroll, a pint, a tent (or youth hostel or lovely B&B... Whatever you like, it's your hols)?
Well your dreams are about to come true from Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th August.
But where will this gathering of mates old and new take place?
Well it's good news for all you fans of the plague... We're off to Eyam.
We're meeting at 10am on Saturday in the sports car park in Eyam. This is located behind the centre car park and is the one with the toilets and museum. Join in a gentle hike in the lovely hills on Saturday and a shorter stroll on Sunday. Saturday night we'll be in The Miners Arms pub for a sweet sherry.
I've had a good poke about the internet for accommodation in and near the village. I haven't stayed at any of these, so you takes your chances! If none of these grab you, do feel free to book something that best suits your tastes and please do share any gems you find, in the comments below.
The Miners Arms. Eyam.
The Bull at Foolow. Eyam
Innisfree Cottage. Eyam.
The Chequers Inn. Froggatt Edge.
Longcroft View. Eyam
It was trickier than expected to find a camp site nearby. The North Lees Campsite is nearly 5 miles away but looks good. If you find anything nearer, please give us a shout.
If you could drop me a line to let me know that you're joining the UKFEchat adventure, that'd be brilliant. Everyone is welcome. I'm firstname.lastname@example.org
Huge thanks go to expert outdoorsman and adventure education specialist Chris Sweetman (@ChrisAFRIN on the Twitter). He'll be leading our walks and making sure we (me) don't get distracted by a shiny thing and fall off some nature. HOW EXCITING!
